AN ELEGANT, VICTORIAN ERA-INSPIRED GREENHOUSE

Step into a world of timeless elegance and versatility at the Solarium at Haven Ridge—a hidden gem that debuted in the Spring of 2024. It stands 28.5 feet tall, adorned with a captivating fusion of iron and glass. Inspired by our family’s English and Scottish heritage, the Solarium was thoughtfully designed in the spirit of the great multi-generational European estates, where it was common for each generation to leave its mark by thoughtfully expanding upon the property over time. In that same tradition, our 16th century-inspired Chapel is complemented by the Solarium, a 19th century-inspired greenhouse designed to feel as though it has naturally evolved alongside the estate through the years.

This enchanting space offers a truly open and airy atmosphere, inviting the beauty of our picturesque property from every angle. Nestled alongside the castle-like Chapel's courtyard, the Solarium unveils four charming patios (1,800 ft² total) that extend the entertaining space outdoors,  each offering unobstructed vistas of our natural surroundings. This unique open floor plan layout sets the stage for your dream event, whether it's a sunlit brunch garden party reception or romantic evening under the stars. Our climate-controlled greenhouse, an expansive 1,500 ft², promises not just an event, but an unforgettable experience straight out of a fairytale.

THE COURTYARD & LAWN

Whether you're dining al fresco, hosting a lively cocktail hour, or intimate nuptials, the 7,000 ft² grassy courtyard and front chapel lawn (with the option to tent up to 30'x50') are the perfect setting for your garden party.

Envision the artistic strokes of live painters, guests unwinding over passed hors d’oeuvres in elegant yet cozy areas designed for comfort, and acoustic musicians serenading the atmosphere...all amidst the picturesque backdrop of sprawling meadows surrounding the private property.

A SANCTUARY OF LIGHT

While the Chapel serves as an obvious non-denominational sanctuary for worship, covenant, and gathering, the Solarium was envisioned as a sanctuary in its own right, one rooted in creation, light, and the beauty of the natural world. Its name comes from the Latin word sol, meaning “sun,” a reflection of both the architecture and the experience the space was designed to offer. With open 360° views from the rising sun in the morning to the golden hues of sunset in the evening, the Solarium invites guests to slow down and appreciate the rhythms, peace, and wonder of God’s creation surrounding them.

Throughout Psalms and scripture, the sun and light are often used as symbols of hope, renewal, and the presence of Christ. Jesus Himself is described as the “rising sun” in Luke 1:78, while Psalm 113:3 reminds us, “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.” The Solarium’s expansive sky views serve as a gentle reminder to always “look up,” never losing sight of the beauty, wonder, and quiet reminders of grace woven throughout the world around us. In a place created to gather, celebrate, and witness life’s most meaningful moments, we hope the Solarium offers not only a beautiful setting, but also a subtle sense of peace, gratitude, and connection to something greater than ourselves.
